Presented by Jeff Suhr

As signs of autumn fill the air, there are a number of things that you can generally count on  ...

The leaves will start to change colors and fall.
The attention of baseball fans start to turn to football, basketball or hockey.
The neighborhood children will begin to knock on your door dressed as ghouls, witches, and goblins.

AND

If you have an integral role in preparing your law firm's annual operating budget, you probably do not have much free time to enjoy all that the season has to offer.

The preparation of a law firm's operating plan is generally very strategic for the overall success for the firm. This process helps define the financial goals (and constraints) for the following year while also helping to establish the firm's strategic initiatives. However, the main reason why this process is so time consuming does not lie in the importance of the tasks themselves, it lies in the fact that the process is often not automated. The lack of integration between HRIS, Payroll and Elite data generally cause key budget drivers to be collected and calculated using manual methods. These methods are time consuming and error prone.

This session will help illustrate how IntelliStat Financial Planning can be deployed at your firm in order to streamline the budgeting process through automation. Find out how to use powerful planning tools for effective business planning of employees, revenue, and expenditures (including both operating and capital). Learn how to tap into all of your disparate planning information to form one consolidated and cohesive budget that can be distributed successfully (and securely) throughout your firm.

Introduction to IntelliStat

In today's fast paced environment, it is no secret that the demand for financial performance information within most law firms is on the rise.

Internally, attorneys are clamoring for information to help them manage their existing business while trying to leverage the information to attract new business. Executive management is continuously looking to analyze performance of the firms' practice groups, client industries, offices, etc. Human Resources demand real time access to attorney performance metrics to assist them in the performance review process.

Externally, clients want immediate answers to questions about their financial history with your firm. Third Party firms are demanding periodic metrics regarding your firm's financial performance to include in "surveys".

Join Data Fusion to see a brief demonstration on how firms all around the world are leveraging IntelliStat to help satisfy this need for information. We will discuss the different methods that may be used to disseminate information throughout your firm. We will also review the opportunities to measure performance "your way" while still supporting some of the industry standard performance metrics often used in surveys.

Using Business Intelligence to Measure Individual Performance
Today's law firm has become increasing more complex in its organizational structure. Gone are the days where a firm was broken up into 2 components, Lawyers and Non-Lawyers. As a firm's organizational chart expands, each role inside a firm is increasingly being tasked with scientifically measuring their performance. However, each functional role within a law firm (Lawyer, Billing Lawyer, Practice Group Leader, CFO, CMO, COO, etc.) measures their performance on different sets of statistical metrics. Business Intelligence Systems (such as Data Fusion's IntelliStat) can be an effective tool in managing the statistical performance of all components in your organization. This session will focus in on the most popular and unique metrics in use today while demonstrating how these metrics can be distributed across your firm so that this performance can be managed on a daily basis.
