General Features

Our Electronic Bill Download software can create formats for legacy bills as well as current billings. There is no limit to how far into the past records can be obtained, as long as the relevant invoice data exists in your Elite Billing System. In addition, downloads provided by Data Fusion support Elite’s standard QBE (Query-By-Example) functionality and have similar features on the entry screen, allowing you to generate the ASCII bill file using any of the following selection criteria:

• Client or matter associated with the bill;
• Dates associated with the bill;
• Invoice number associated with the bill.

Tracking and Managing Your Electronic Billing

In addition to simply creating the electronic billing files themselves, Data Fusion has added the ability to track the following as each file is created:

• Format used to save the file
• File name
• Invoice number
• User/Operator saving the file
• Time and date the file was saved

In order to reduce the likelihood that you will lose track of a file and not get paid by your client, an optional Web interface has been developed to track:

• Which files have been accepted or rejected by the client
• The client’s confirmation number
• Notes about the file (especially important if the file was rejected)
• Re-submitted files
• Files that have been generated but not yet submitted
• Files that have been submitted but not yet accepted
