Beyond the Basics…

The Elite Professional Billing System (EPBS) includes a comprehensive set of over 100 standard reports and a full-featured inquiry system. For the vast majority of firms, these cover 95% of their reporting needs. However, many firms have specialized reporting needs driven by profitability goals, compensation arrangements, market analysis or other management objectives. These factors require data to be processed and presented in a context that may not be available in the standard package. Elite Information Systems anticipated this need and supports a wide variety of custom reporting options.

Standard Elite Custom Reports

Elite has a built-in facility for creating and running custom reports that have the same "look and feel" of the standard reports. These reports are typically created using the same library of back-end functions as the standard reports and are well integrated into the standard application. Soft sorts, QBE, Report Manager monitoring, Data Warehousing, report queuing and other features of the Elite standard reports are all available through proper use of Elite's Custom Report system.

Data Fusion's expertise with the Elite custom report writing system is without peer and Data Fusion has trained dozens of programmers at law firms, technical service firms and the annual Elite user conference. Data Fusion was an active participant in the design of the custom report interface for the Windows product when it was first developed. Although report writing has since expanded well beyond the Elite custom report framework, we are still the premier shop for developing, maintaining and migrating Elite Custom Reports.

Third-Party Report Writing

In addition to their native custom report development environment, Elite custom reports can also be created using a wide variety of third-party report writers. These products tend to work best when used in combination with Elite's data warehousing or third-party reporting systems such as Data Fusion's IntelliStat. Data Fusion can assist you with both the generation of the warehouse tables as well as use of the third-party tools themselves. The products we have worked with include: Eureka/IQ, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access, and Elite Document Studio/Whitehill Technology Enterprise/WordFlow.

Conflicts Reports

The Elite Conflicts system has several standard reports that provide summarized or detailed information on "matches" that turn up in a conflict search. Firms opening large volumes of new business daily often have very finely tuned conflicts reporting requirements that can only be implemented via custom programming. Elite provides a separate library of standard functions for developing custom conflict reports. Document Studio can also further process these reports for a wider range of formatting options. Data Fusion has extensive experience with writing and enhancing custom conflicts reports.
