Synopsis

This is an introductory class for Elite users who are new to SQL statements. The class will cover the more common Elite tables and a hands-on session of programming using the Structured Query Language (SQL). The course is intended for those who wish to be able to quickly retrieve data from the Elite system. Prior programming knowledge is not necessary, as some programming basics will be covered. Students will be guided through a hands-on, step-by-step process of how to create SQL STATEMENTS. Each new concept taught in the class will be reinforced with exercises so that the attendee will be comfortable in writing statements as well as be aware of any possible difficulties. In the end, the student will come away with CONFIDENCE in their ability to write SQL statements for their firm and to maneuver through the basic tables in the Elite database.
