| Synopsis This class
is an introductory hands-on look into the Crystal Reports software.
Students will be shown how to access the Elite database and create
custom reports using this exciting business tool. Topics include:
Connecting to Elite, Using the Report Wizard to Create a Report,
Using the Select Expert and the Formula Editor, Exporting Data,
Subreports and much more!
As with all of our hands-on classes we will be
querying against an Elite database so that the experience will
give the student a ‘real world’ feel. There will be
lab time built into the two days for opportunities to begin designing
reports needed back at the office.
Crystal gives you the opportunity to design custom
reports against the Elite data that are easy to run and easy on
the eyes. The report design and format are custom-designed so
that your firm does not have to be limited to the standard Elite
reports.
A prerequisite for the class is a basic knowledge
of the EPBS tables. It is assumed that students will be familiar
with their own firm’s accounting data. This is an ideal
course for accountants and analysts that would like to be able
to access information quickly and independently, as well as enhance
their skills in the area of computer programming.
