| Synopsis
This class is an introductory hands-on look into version 7.2 of the IQ/Objects Report Writing software (now known as MyEureka!).
Students will view the major components of the software, the Knowledge
Base Manager (now the Metadata Manager) and the IQ/Objects Report
Writer (now the MyEureka! Report Designer), and be shown how to
set up new reports as well as modify existing ones. Topics include:
Setting up and Modifying a Knowledge Base Manager, Basic Report
Design in Quick Query and Free Form, Exporting Data, Prompts,
and much more!
The most exciting part, however, is that the
software is querying against an actual Elite database, and not
the Global Sports data that comes with the software. You will
also be given lab time to develop reports that you can save and
take back to the office.
IQ gives you the opportunity to design custom
reports against the Elite data that are easy to run and easy on
the eyes. The report design and format are custom-designed so
that your firm does not have to be limited to the standard Elite
reports. Now is the chance to design your own custom reports
using a tool that your firm already has!
A prerequisite for the class is a basic knowledge
of the EPBS tables. It is assumed that students will be familiar
with their own firm’s accounting data. This is an ideal
course for accountants and analysts that would like to be able
to access information quickly and independently, as well as enhance
their skills in the area of computer programming.
